A doula provides physical, emotional support and guidance during your pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum journey.
My name is Angelica Greskiewicz. Recently I relocated to New York with my family of 6, 4 sons, a husband, and two dogs. I am excited to be in a new place and learn about what the east coast has to offer. Prior to moving we visited the east coast yearly to visit my in-laws and friends. So it's not a total shock but still going to be an adjustment.
I am originally from Southern California. I am a DTI (Doula Trainings International) trained Doula. Just a little info about my own pregnancies and how I fell in love with becoming a Doula. I have had 4 different types of birth with my last one being at home. Each pregnancy, labor, and birth led me to learn and change things during each pregnancy and how I prepared for my labor. Through my own experiences and with each pregnancy learning new things I realized many of us don't know what options that are available to us during childbirth.
For some reason women carry so much doubt in themselves when planning for their childbirth. They feel that an epidural or doctor intervention is necessary or a standard. Through my own experiences and learning through other mothers I came to realize that our bodies are capable of birthing our babies more than we realize. We have to change our way of thinking and what society has taught us. We need to believe in ourselves, and our baby that we are a team and we both know what to do during childbirth.
I have a passion for helping expecting parents. I think the womanss body is truly an amazing gift and can do incredible things. I believe our mind plays such a valuable role in our pregnancy and can shape the outcome of your birth. I want to help you achieve a positive outcome from your pregnancy and birthing experience, providing resources, knowledge, and support. I want to go on the adventure with you and your family and help you explore and discover what you hope and wish for in welcoming your baby.
If it’s your first or your last, having a support system that understands your needs is key. Siblings can also be present and involved.
Childbirth doesn’t have to be painful and scary. It can be a calm, relaxing, and pain free.
Learning and finding your inner strength is fulfilling and rewarding. You will realize your body is incredible and fierce!
